Sustainable Farming Solutions

NutriCare’s Sustainable Farming Solutions is an established program on the ground in Malawi, spearheaded by NutriCare. It empowers farmers with regenerative agriculture techniques methods that improve soil fertility, boost biodiversity, and increase yields to enhance food security and environmental resilience.

Project Aim

To transform Malawi’s agricultural landscape by promoting sustainable, nutrition-sensitive farming practices that regenerate the land, strengthen food systems, and overcome malnutrition through eco-friendly innovation.

Nutritious Crop Production

We are rolling out a market-driven model to boost household incomes and community nutrition in Malawi by promoting the cultivation and consumption of nutrientdense crops including soy, groundnuts, cowpeas, and NUA beans alongside livestock and insect farming. Our approach empowers community-level farmers, particularly women and youth, in sustainable, nutrition sensitive agribusiness.

Innovative Food Processing

NutriCare’s innovative porridge uses locally processed insect protein powder derived from grasshoppers to fortify orange maize flour.
