NutriCare has gained recognition for its innovative use of locally sourced insect protein to fortify staple foods — especially through our nutrient‑dense porridge products. By processing insect protein powder from grasshoppers and crickets into orange maize flour, we are creating foods that deliver all nine essential amino acids, key vitamins, and minerals. This approach is revolutionizing how staple diets can address malnutrition while leveraging sustainable, climate‑smart protein sources.
Our fortified porridge is not just nutritious — it’s affordable, accessible, and culturally grounded. By empowering women and youth farmers with training in sustainable farming, insect farming, and food processing, NutriCare strengthens food security and supports local economies at the grassroots level.
